Dr. Robbie Adler-Tapia and her company, Tapia Counseling & Psychological Services, provide:
Mental health services and counseling, Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) trainings for mental health professionals, and EMDR trainings for First Responders.

Dr. Robbie Adler-Tapia

Dr. Adler-Tapia is a licensed psychologist, who has worked with individuals encountering trauma, attachment and dissociation. She provides assessments of children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Her 40-year career includes providing counseling, consultation and psychological services for children and families referred by child welfare, Military Veterans, and Public Safety Professionals. She has authored several books, chapters, and articles on treating trauma.

Dr. Adler-Tapia's volunteer work includes being the Founder and Clinical Director of FiRSST (First Responder Specialty Services and Training).

Dr. Robbie Adler-Tapia was originally trained in EMDR by Dr. Francine Shapiro, who originated and developed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. In 2005, Dr. Shapiro approved Dr. Robbie's treatment manual EMDR and the Art of Psychotherapy with Children as being consistent with the EMDR protocol developed by Dr. Shapiro and published in her textbook.

Bonnie Beebe, LPC

Bonnie Beebe, LPC, is the Clinical Director and owner of Be Well Counseling, with over 17 years of expertise in trauma recovery and holistic mental health care. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies from Arizona State University.

Bonnie specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), offering advanced trauma-focused care that fosters deep healing and transformation. She also addresses life transitions, grief, spirituality, multicultural issues, and donor-assisted reproduction concerns with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

As an EMDRIA-Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant, and Facilitator, Bonnie is highly trained in advanced EMDR techniques and provides consultation to clinicians pursuing EMDRIA Certification and consultation for Consultants-In-Training.

She incorporates other evidence-based modalities, including DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Ego-State Therapy, and Structural Dissociation, to ensure tailored, effective care. Bonnie’s dedication to trauma recovery and her expertise in EMDR make her a trusted leader in the field, helping clients and clinicians alike achieve profound growth and healing.

Harmony Dunning, LPC

Tulsa, OK

Harmony Dunning, LPC, completed her Master’s degree from Northeastern State University in School Counseling and worked as a School Counselor for seven years. Before this, she distinguished herself by serving in the United States Air Force, and after six years, was honorably discharged. She is a licensed professional and nationally certified counselor (NCC).

She uses researched treatment methods and is EMDR Certified, an EMDR Consultant, and a Registered Play Therapist. She utilizes multiple evidence-based modalities but specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. She addresses problems ranging from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other issues. She is a Veteran and was a school counselor for nearly a decade before transitioning into therapy.

While she works with all populations, she truly enjoys working with First Responders and Veterans, feeling that these two groups are the true protectors of our community but are often overlooked for mental health assistance. She is honored to work with our men and women in uniform.

Valorie Everton, LPC

N Phoenix, AZ

Valorie Everton is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in counseling in Montana where she grew up. She provided services to all ages and developed programs for children and families as well as for people with serious mental illness for 25 years in Montana and then in Arizona.

Valorie then entered the world of private practice when she and her sister started Desert View Counseling and Consulting, Inc. in Peoria AZ in 2000. She worked as a therapist /owner and grew the well-respected practice to employ 25 therapists in 2 locations by the time she semi-retired and focused on her passions – family, quilting and training and consulting for EMDR Therapists.

She initially trained in EMDR Therapy in 2016 and instantly became amazed at the results EMDR Therapy could produce. She studied to earn her certification and then became an EMDRIA Approved Consultant to offer others the type of career changing mentorship she had received during her work life.

Ashley Gaede, LPC

Queen Creek, AZ

Ashley Lynch Gaede is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified in Neurofeedback. Ashley specializes in working with children and adolescents but sees adults as well. Autism, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, attachment, mood dysregulation, and behavior issues are some of the primary areas of Ashley’s skill set.

Ashley became enamored with EMDR as a foster/adopt parent as she sat in on some of her children’s EMDR sessions. At home, she was able to witness the positive effects of EMDR following the sessions. The moment Ashley was eligible to attend EMDR Basic Training as a student in her master’s program, she did.

Ashley completed EMDR Basic Training in 2015. She became EMDR certified in 2020 and an EMDRIA approved consultant in 2024. Ashley has assisted in multiple EMDR Basic Trainings under the direction of Dr. Robbie Adler-Tapia.

Robert Page, LCSW, BCD

New Haven, CT

Robert Page, LCSW, BCD, is the executive director of the Hannah Gray Home, a residential care facility, and the past executive of Dixwell/Newhallville Community Mental Health, an outpatient and family support center serving New Haven’s inner city for more than twenty-five years. Both locations serve as field placements for scores of successful BSW, MSW, LPC, and MA trainees.

In his professional and clinical life, he has served as a mental health supervisor and consultant to Head Start, daycare centers, and local nonprofits. Robert, in conjunction with mental health colleagues, has provided seminars on "The Impact of Race and Ethnicity on Psychotherapy,” parenting and early childhood developmental issues, and grief counseling. He has held adjunct and assistant professor positions at Southern and Western Connecticut State Universities.

He is an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Trainer and Consultant. He practices trauma-informed therapy and is the founder of Mental Health & EMDR Associates, which is located in the Westville community of New Haven. He provides EMDR trainings throughout the northeast and consults with master’s prepared clinicians on the integration of EMDR into their clinical practice.

He has served on several nonprofit boards and is a former board member of the Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) board of directors.

Terri Talley, LPC, LPCS, LCMHC, CT, CMCC

Columbia, SC Terri earned degrees in forensic psychology and clinical mental health counseling before pursuing her Ph.D. in mind-body medicine with specializations in trauma and resilience. Before becoming a mental health provider, she was a first responder, and her passion continues for that community as she continues to serve them as an EMDRIA-approved therapist and consultant.

As a Licensed Counselor and supervisor, she is dedicated to providing safe therapeutic space and practical resources for individuals seeking to regain purpose and meaning during and after traumatic events disrupt their lives.

As a certified Thanatologist, Grief Coach, and Death Doula, she provides direction, education, and compassion for individuals, families, and organizations facing the challenges of end-of-life matters and grief.

She most commonly works with first responders, grief, end-of-life matters, suicidality, violence-related trauma, survivors of suicide, workplace loss, traumatic loss, and existential issues.

Liz Danbury, LPC, JD, CCTP

Liz Danbury, LPC, JD, CTTP, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor specializing in complex trauma and dissociative disorders in adults. She provides a safe and nurturing place to help clients heal the parts of them that were traumatized, process through the trauma, and makes it possible for them to live their best life, create secure attachments, and thrive.

She is very eclectic and client-focused in her approach and is trained in multiple trauma-informed modalities, but her favorite is EMDR. During the first few phases of the process, she relies heavily on Safe and Sound Protocol, IFS and Somatic Experiencing to prepare the client to be ready to move into the reprocessing phase of EMDR.

Kimberly Miller, LCSW, LISAC, SEP, BCN

Kimberly Miller, LCSW, LISAC, SEP, and BCN is CEO and owner of Neurofeedbackaz.com. She uses EMDR to address trauma, phobias, disassociation, OCD, betrayal trauma, and developmental trauma. She has over 20 years of expertise in trauma recovery with a developmental lens, and also integrates Brainspotting, IFS, Meadows Model, PIT, structural disassociation, hypnotherapy, coaching, and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). She works with betrayed partners, anxiety, ADHD, autism, adolescent life transitions, college student concerns, and substance abuse.

Kim is also working on a doctorate of psychology at California Southern University. Kim offers advanced trauma-focused care that is transformative as an EMDRIA-Certified Therapist and Consultant in Training. Kim is a trusted leader in the industry as well as a sought after research writer.

Lawana Mortensen, LMFT

Lawana is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in their Family Studies Program before taking some time off the educational path to fulfilling her family pursuits.

Her therapeutic focus is in EMDR. She has been trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to enable her to help those who come with various forms of trauma, depression and anxiety disorders. She also incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when needed. She is a Gottman Certified Couples Therapist as well. Both Lawana’s education and her family life have given her a head start as a therapist. Her down to earth and straight forward approach, mixed with her personable and compassionate nature, create a safe environment for individuals and families alike.

Jessica Stelfox, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor dedicated to helping individuals heal their wounds and reclaim their stories of strength. With years of experience as a child and family therapist, she focuses on creating safe spaces for clients to speak their truths and discover inner resilience. She specializes in EMDR, parts work, polyvagal theory, attachment work and use play techniques to help individuals move forward by rewiring their brains for safety and growth.

Her therapeutic approach balances structure and client-led exploration, encouraging authentic healing. While working together, clients gain a deeper understanding of how trauma affects the nervous system and develop skills to reshape their inner world.
